The youngest candidate to win an Indian election

In the Indian general elections, some younger candidates also entered the fray and some of them got success.

In the general elections of India, Pushpinder Saroj, Priya Saroj, Sanjana Jato and Shambhavi Chaudhary also contested and won.

All four candidates are 25 years old, all four won Lok Sabha seats and will now become members of Parliament.

According to Indian media, Pushpinder Saroj is a member of Samajwadi Party who has defeated Kumar Sonkar of BJP by a margin of more than 100,000 votes on a seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Priya Saroj contested the elections on behalf of the Samajwadi Party and defeated the incumbent BJP MP Bholanath by over 35,000 votes on a seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Shambhavi Chaudhary contested on a seat in Bihar from the Lok Jan Shakti Party and defeated Sunny Hazari, who contested on a Congress ticket, by a margin of over one lakh votes.

Sanjana Jattu contested from a seat in Rajasthan on the Congress side and defeated BJP candidate Ram Swaroop Koli by a margin of over 50,000 votes. Sanjana Jatto tried her luck in the last election too but lost to the BJP by a margin of just 409 votes.
