Presenting a new peace formula to resolve the Ukraine conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that the Ukraine conflict will never be resolved without sincere talks with Russia.
President Putin said that Russia wants to turn a page full of tragedy in history and gradually improve relations with Ukraine and Europe, but if Ukraine and the West reject the offer of talks, they will be responsible for the bloodshed.
He said that Russia wants peace from the first day, but the West is not only ignoring the interests of Russia, but also preventing Ukraine from negotiating with Russia.
The Russian president said that it seems absurd that on the one hand there is a ban on talking to Russia about Ukraine and at the same time Moscow is asked to talk and then it is said that Russia has refused to talk.
Presenting a new peace formula to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian president said that the Ukrainian forces should completely withdraw from the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia, which are annexed by Russia, and if Ukraine refuses to join NATO, it will Moscow will then call for a cease-fire and negotiations will begin. He said that the compromises on Ukraine would have to be international agreements, in which Crimea and Sevastopol would also be recognized as Russian territories.
President Putin hoped that Ukraine would come to the conclusion that it would be in its national interest to negotiate.
He said that he does not want to freeze the problem, but to end it, but for this, Ukraine should become a neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear country, as well as non-military and non-Nazi.
President Putin made it clear that negotiations with the Ukrainian parliament can be done legally, but he said about the current president that Zelensky’s legal status cannot be restored.
President Putin added that a return to the 2021-22 security protocol is impossible, but the basic principles of negotiations will remain the same.
In 2021, President Putin set the basic condition for the talks that NATO must return its military infrastructure to its 1997 position. Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Estonia were also made part of NATO.
