New York: Pakistan beat Canada by 7 wickets to win the T20 World Cup for the first time.

In the match played in New York, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first against Canada.

Canada scored 106 runs for the loss of 7 players in the allotted 20 overs. Irwin Johnson played an innings of 52 runs on behalf of Canada.

On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf dismissed 2 players each. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took one wicket each.
