Maldives prohibits Israeli residents from entering the country

Maldives, expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, has banned the entry of Israeli citizens into the Maldives.

According to the Maldivian Presidency, the entry of Israeli passport holders into the country is being banned, the cabinet has decided to change the rules regarding the entry of Israeli citizens into the country.

The President’s office further said that the President of the Maldives, Mohamed Moizoo, will also appoint a special envoy for the aid campaign for the Palestinians.

It should be noted that 11,000 Israeli tourists came to Maldives, famous for its beautiful tourist destinations, last year.

On the other hand, according to a foreign news agency, the Israeli government also advised Israeli citizens not to travel to the Maldives.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also recommended that Israeli citizens in the Maldives leave the country.
