According to a recent poll, there has been an increase in support for the armed struggle among Palestinians.
According to Arab media, according to a recent survey conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR), there has been an increase in support among Palestinians for the armed struggle to end the Israeli occupation and achieve a Palestinian state.
In a survey conducted in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, 54 percent of people supported armed struggle, an increase of 8 percent compared to the previous survey. According to the survey, the popularity of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas among Palestinians increased by 6 percent. 40 percent while the popularity of President Mahmoud Abbas’ Jamaat Fatah is 20 percent.
It should be noted that this survey has been conducted 8 months after the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza.
According to Walid Ladadouh, head of PSR’s survey research unit, although the support for Hamas and the armed struggle has not increased much compared to previous surveys, this is a reaction to the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
He also said the survey was an expression of dissatisfaction with the Palestinian Authority, led by Mahmoud Abbas, which has long been negotiating a two-state solution and rejects armed struggle.
