Load shedding for 14 hours in the city on behalf of K Electric, long shutdown also in the name of technical fault
The duration of electricity load shedding by K Electric in different areas of Karachi reached 14 hours.
Load shedding of 12 to 14 hours is being done in different areas of the city, Lyari, Kemari, Sarjani, New Karachi, Orangi Town and Baldia Town.
Apart from this, load shedding is being done for 12 hours in Ghazri, Liaquat Abad, FB area, Garden, Malir, Maripur, Memo goth, North Karachi and North Nazimabad.
Load shedding of more than 10 hours is also going on in several areas of Qayyumabad, Queens road, Shadman and Sarjani by K Electric.
Due to load shedding in business areas, business is affected in several markets of Iqbal Market, Kazim Market and Jama Cloth and shopkeepers are worried.
Citizens say that despite long load shedding, more electricity is being cut off by K Electric in the name of technical failure, while the staff does not pick up the phone when contacted on the helpline.
On the other hand, 10 hours of load shedding time is mentioned in the schedule available on Electric’s website.
Spokesperson K Electric says that power supply in Karachi is continuing as usual and load shedding is done as per the given schedule.
