Israeli Minister Benny Gantz resigned as a member of the war cabinet due to disagreement with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s policies regarding the Gaza war.
According to a foreign news agency report, the resignation of the only centrist member of Netanyahu’s cabinet does not pose any immediate threat to Netanyahu’s government, but his departure may cause the Israeli government to lose support from the centrist bloc.
According to the news agency, Gantz last month gave Netanyahu a deadline of June 8 to formulate a clear strategy against Hamas in the Gaza war, but Netanyahu immediately rejected his ultimatum.
In an interview with local TV after the resignation, Benny Gantz said that Netanyahu is preventing us from moving towards real success in the war, that is why we are leaving the emergency cabinet.
