Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins entered the record book by scoring a hat-trick against Bangladesh in the Super Eight stage of T20 World Cup.
Teams of Australia and Bangladesh, included in Group A of the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup, competed in the 44th match of the event at the Sir Vion Richards Cricket Stadium in Antigua, in which Australia defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis method. Defeated.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 140 for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, which included captain Najamul Hasan’s 41 runs and Tawheed Hari Doy’s 40 runs.
On behalf of Australia, Pat Cummins bowled brilliantly and dismissed three players by giving 29 runs.
Pat Cummins completed his hat-trick by taking two wickets in one over and the first ball of the second over, dismissing Mahmudullah, Mehdi Hasan and Tawheed Haridoy.
