Former England cricket team captain and commentator Michael Vaughan has revealed that he was suffering from a terminal illness.
Michael Vaughan revealed to a British newspaper that he suffered physical complications due to mental stress and could not even button his shirt and tie his shoelaces during Pakistan’s Boxing Day Test against Australia. The symptoms were more severe during the period.
Michael Vaughan said: “I couldn’t pick up the microphone, I was sent from the commentary box to hospital in Melbourne, came back to England and had a CT scan which showed stress hormones in my body, I had severe joint pain, I If he was 80 years old, he would not want to shoot himself.
The former captain said that just as mental health is difficult to diagnose, this disease is also not detected early. However, the disease can happen at any time in any condition and to anyone.
Michael Vaughn added, “Many times I wouldn’t go out because I was too embarrassed to get in the car and get out. I’ve had treatment but I don’t know if I’m stronger or weaker.
