T20 World Cup: Australia beat Scotland by 5 wickets

In the 35th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Scotland was defeated by Australia by five wickets.

In the Group B match played in St. Lucia, the Kangaroos won the toss and invited Scotland to bat.

Scotland scored 180 runs for the deficiency of 5 wickets in the assigned 20 overs. Brendan McMullen played a splendid innings of 60 runs while George Munsey scored 35 runs, Matthew Cross was excused for 18 runs.

Aside from this, commander Barrington stayed unbeaten by scoring 42 runs off 31 balls.

For Australia, Glenn Maxwell took 2 wickets, Agar, Ellis and Zampa took one wicket each.

It should be noted that Australia has already qualified for the Super 8 stage from Group B.
